OPEN CALL TO CULTOUR IS CAPITAL FEST: SHOW YOUR TALENT!

If you are an artist, creative or cultural operator and the lock-down was a moment to give free rein to your creativity, this is your place!

Show us your work to win a residency opportunity in Gelsenkirchen (Ruhr ECoC 2010), Košice (ECoC 2013), Matera (ECoC 2019) to develop your skills with local artists and cultural operators.

We created the first Cultour is Capital Fest to show the transformative power of arts and culture!

Cultour is Capital wants to give visibility to the productions developed during the lock-down and promote the artistic & creative work of all residents on European Capitals of Culture. 

To participate there are only 3 requirements:

  • Participants must be residents in one of the 62 European Capital of Culture around Europe or the future ones.
  • Send a maximum of 10 photographs and/or video describing the artistic/creative product and/or performance.
  • Insert a description text that effectively highlights the aspects of the work.

Participants can submit their works until midnight on 31st October 2020. 15th November* (*According to the many requests and to the difficult situation we all are living in these days, we decided to extend the candidacy date. Don’t miss the opportunity!)

PRIZE: 3 winners, 3 days, 3 cities
The prize of the Cultour Is Capital Fest 2020 will be a three-day residency opportunity for three winners, offered by three partners of the TraCEs project who will take care of travel and accommodation costs for the winners and a partner to visit Gelsenkirchen (Ruhr ECoC 2010), Košice (ECoC 2013), Matera (ECoC 2019) and develop their work in cooperation with local artists or cultural operators.
